Meet the team! Chapter 3

20 March 2020

Following our launch of Dungeon: Immortal Evil, we’ll be sitting down with the team who worked long and hard to bring the industry’s first RPG-slot to life.

In the third edition of our series, meet Alex, one of our fantastic concept artists!

What do you personally like about Dungeon:Immortal Evil?

Alex: Put simply, Dungeon: Immortal Evil is an experience like no other. Transporting players to the middle ages on an epic journey through time for an exhilarating war between good and evil, the game brings a level of entertainment that goes far beyond anything else in today’s slot market.
Another feature I am particularly fond of is the absence of reels. Instead, wins are achieved through battles with the enemies that lurk in each corner of the ancient mountain temple where the game is set. Every victory brings a loot-based reward equal to money, with a variety of petrifying opponents encountered as the game’s detailed narrative unfolds.

What is unique about this game?

Alex: Dungeon’s highly realistic graphics give the title a stunning visual aesthetic that is completely distinct from anything else in the industry. Of course, these spectacular effects are the result of extensive hard work from our gifted development team.
The game boasts an image resolution four times higher, yet occupying 10 times less space, than similar products on the market.

What challenges did you face and how did you manage to overcome them?

Alex: As a concept artist, the main challenge I faced was perfecting the style and imagery of the game locations. Researching all the relevant materials was a time consuming process, but the incredible quality of the end result made the hard work worthwhile.
During the creative process I was inspired by Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles, and it was immensely rewarding to see my initial rough sketches eventually blossom to the beautiful 3D graphics displayed in the game.

Who is your favourite character?

Alex: It’s a boring answer, but definitely the main hero!

Meet the team! Chapter 2

3 March 2020

Following our launch of Dungeon: Immortal Evil this week, we’ll be sitting down with the team who worked long and hard to bring the industry’s first RPG-slot to life.

In the second edition of our series, meet Sergey, one of our superstar concept artists!

What do you personally like about Dungeon: Immortal Evil?

Sergey: Because there’s nothing else like it! I’m a huge fan of anything that involves fantasy and RPG, so working on the game was a dream come true. Following a heroic Viking warrior through a series of epic battles certainly felt like an adventure, particularly because of the engaging characters that are encountered along the way – and I’m delighted with the result.

What is unique about this game?

Sergey: One of the many things that distinguishes Dungeon: Immortal Evil from other slots is the third-person, 3D camera that makes it feel as much like a classic video game as a slot. Unlike a lot of today’s casino games, which tend to be over-reliant on the same old themes (Aztec gold, anyone?), Dungeon: Immortal Evil offers players the chance to dive into a genuinely compelling story. That story is made all the more convincing by the game’s high-quality image resolution, making for a truly stunning gamified experience.

What challenges did you face and how did you manage to overcome them?

Sergey: When it came to working on the game’s conceptual aspects, in particular its characters, the central challenge was to create visuals that are interesting yet accessible.

Specifically, allowing players with older smartphone models to enjoy the game, whilst also enabling users with newer versions to take advantage of its realistic graphics was a challenge. With some of our fantastic tech, we’ve been able to ensure that the game uses up very little data; and I’m delighted that Dungeon: Immortal Evil can be enjoyed anywhere in the world.

Who is your favourite character?

Sergey: I’ll go for the skeleton, as he’s always smiling!

Meet the team!

28 February 2020

Following our launch of Dungeon: Immortal Evil this week, we’ll be sitting down with the team who worked long and hard to bring the industry’s first RPG-slot to life!

In the first edition of our series, meet Roman, one of our design superstars

What do you personally like about Dungeon: Immortal Evil

Roman: There is a lot to choose from. As a game designer, I’m very proud that the gameplay is an industry-first combination of Role Playing Game based (RPG) action and slot excitement.

I also like the fact that the technology behind Dungeon: Immortal Evil is of such high quality. Fully 3D and optimised for mobile gaming, the title boasts outstanding technical specifications, making it a brilliantly engaging entertainment experience.

What is unique about this game?

Roman: Dungeon: Immortal Evil offers a unique combination of an RPG, video-game experience married with the build-up of suspense and anticipation of traditional casino.

However, the traditional similarity stops just about there. Players do not spin the reels as they would in a conventional slot game, rather the objective is to bravely cut your way through hordes of enemies. The team also put a lot of work into the game’s theme and visual aesthetics, resulting in the stunning graphics and captivating characters on show for all to see.

What challenges did you face and how did you manage to overcome them?

Roman: A project of this magnitude will always create challenges, but, with our shared drive to create content that is literally an industry first, has been a massive motivator for us.

The length of time it demanded from virtually everyone involved with Evoplay Entertainment was tough at times, but the incredible quality of the final product undoubtedly made it all worthwhile; and we are over the moon with the result.

Who is your favourite character?

Roman: The main hero, of course!

Company Updates Industry Firsts

iGaming’s first ever RPG inspired slot!

26 February 2020

24 February 2020: Evoplay Entertainment, the innovative game development studio, has announced the launch of the industry’s first ever role-playing game (RPG) slot, Dungeon: Immortal Evil.

The result of over a year’s research and development, Dungeon: Immortal Evil harnesses the latest in 3D gaming technology to offer players the first ever slot-based hack and slash adventure.

Designed to be truly HTML5 mobile-perfect for handheld gaming, it is unique in its slot-based gameplay. Rather than facing regular pay symbols and pay patterns, the game’s mechanics will be familiar to players of RPGs – following the player’s avatar throughout as he battles with the game’s monsters and accumulates loot when victorious.

Tracked by a third-person 3D camera that follows the hero’s adventure throughout the game’s many different levels, every spin is a new journey through a different level with a random number of enemies and a mystery loot-based outcome for each win. Each victory awards players with loot divided by rarity: common, magic, rare, epic or legendary: convertible into an instant money outcome.

Despite the RPG elements and immersive gameplay, Dungeon: Immortal Evil stays true to its slots-based origins – all wins and losses are RNG-based, no skills or knowledge can help – it all comes down to the luck of the spin and the RNG algorithm.

In place of free spins, and to unlock bonus achievements, players must battle their way through a number of Dungeon spaces, fighting with enemies who protect the final level’s boss.

Every bonus level has an RNG determined reward, equal to money. Once a player is victorious, a chest appears which contains a random selection of a weapon, armour upgrade or health potion. After entering the portal into the Dungeon players must bravely vanquish a series of opponents culminating in a showdown with the final Boss, where a bet multiplier of up to 5000x can be won.

Commenting on the launch of the industry’s first ever RPG slot, Ivan Kravchuk, CEO of Evoplay Entertainment, said:

“At Evoplay Entertainment we’re always looking to push the boundaries of what’s possible when it comes to gaming. The result of over a year’s dedication from our fantastic team, Dungeon: Immortal Evil is designed for the next generation of player who values an immersive experience beyond the typical ‘spin and win’.

“As the industry’s first RPG (think first-person adventure) slot, we’ve had to start from scratch when it comes to building it from the ground up. Everything from design to the game’s mechanics – it has literally been a labour of love for us to create something that can be called truly new in the industry, and we can’t wait to see what our players make of it.”

The hugely popular studio first shot to fame in 2018 with the industry’s first mass-market 3D / VR slot, Necromancer.

Having gone from strength-to-strength since, Evoplay Entertainment now boasts a 70+ strong portfolio of slots, table, and instant games. The developer plans to cement its innovative reputation further by continuing to unveil some of the industry’s most advanced slots at headline events throughout the year.
