It’s going to borrow from Snow White’s story, and it covers it with much darker graphics than you’d expect from a fairy tale, with your companions being stone statues of the main character and the witch. The game can pay well, is riskier to play, and it does well enough overall that it should at least be considered by players which can handle its volatility. Night of the Living Tales features 5x3 reels and gets you 20 lines to bet on, and then get wins from. Rewards of 3,373x the stake are mentioned as a possibility for this game, which is fine, though it could’ve been even better since the volatility is High. With the RTP at 96.20%, the game does well enough overall. Its big features range from wilds, to Blue or Red Flowers, and those can then lead to free spins and special wilds. Betting and Prizes $0.10 is the lowest that the game will allow you to go, when selecting a bet. At the other end, there is a total bet of up to $200, which can also be selected. I’ve seen payouts of up to 3,373x the stake mentioned for this game, which is OK for a lot of slots, though perhaps not quite enough for one with high volatility. Your best chances of getting close, will be when you go through the Witch free spins, which allow you to accumulate multipliers, to be applied to all wins of the feature. RTP is 96.20%, which is what most players would consider a bit over the average. Night of the Living Tales Slot Features There is only one feature symbol present, even though there are quite a few different events that will trigger in different ways. The wild Spell Book is the one you get to see and use on the reels, where it will be available as a substitute, working with all types of symbols if a new combo will form. Access to the free spins will be obtained through winning or losing rounds. You need a total of 5-7 consecutive rounds of one type or another, to get such a feature. Basically, you’re being rewarded for winning or losing streaks. First, we have the Blue Flowers, which are activated next to Snow White’s statue, with each new winning spin that you go through. Remember, you need 5 consecutive winning spins, to trigger the free spins, or the progress resets. If the collection succeeds, you will notice the statue coming to life, and 7 Snow White free spins will trigger next. At this point, getting 5 consecutive winning spins will trigger 7 Light Free Spins for you. This version of the feature gets a special wild symbol, which appears on reels 2 and 4. With each new Light Wild that appears, 1 extra free spins is given. Second, we also have the Red Flowers, which appear at the top of the Witch statue. Once again, you need to activate the five flowers, but this time this happens through 5 consecutive losing spins. Once that’s done, the Witch comes to life and you receive 5 of her free spins. Theme & Design The story of Snow White, though it serves as inspiration, appears to be only an excuse for the developer, and it’s not fully covered. There are none of the seven dwarves in sight, only Snow White and the Witch, frozen in stone to the left and right of the reels. It looks like the reels are in a garden, with flowers on both sides and a stone path below the character’s feet. It’s not a very long list of symbols, and they’re not terribly interesting either. A Spell Book is your wild, with high value symbols showing us a necklace, a comb and keys. Low symbols are four coins, colored in gold, silver, copper and green. Special wild Potion symbols are also added, for certain variants of the free spins. Conclusion Night of the Living Tales slot looks gorgeous, and it’s a darker design than you might be used to, especially for a Snow White inspired game. I do like the potential and features, especially the way you get access to free spins through losing or winning streaks. I’m not as big of a fan of the way you have to repeat those streaks, in order to get access to even better versions of the free spins.
