From 16 to 18 September, Milan hosts the EL/WLA Responsible Gaming & Sustainability Seminar 2026, run by Sisal S.p.A. Regulators, researchers and people from across the lottery industry will spend two days discussing where these areas of entertainment are heading, including a first glance at the new standards.
The speaker list is strong. Dr Michael Wohl from Carleton University will talk about “Empathy Engineering”. Dr Néstor Szerman, President of the World Association on Dual Disorders, will look at how gambling harm and mental health overlap. Professor Paolo Taticchi from UCL will make the case for sustainability as a driver of real business growth, not just a box to tick.
Evoplay will be there too, taking it all in and catching up with experts in this sector. It’s a good chance to swap notes on what’s working, what isn’t, and where things go from here.
